The Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has published a very useful pamphlet outlining 40 core offences under the Residential Tenancies Act. The pamphlet looks at offences related to harassment, eviction, vital services, suite meters, entering a rental unit, rent and extra fees, maintenance and repairs, false information, and other offences.

It also outlines the complaint process and what to expect if you file a complaint with the Ministry's Investigation and Enforcement Unit.

This is a very valuable, easy-to-read resource for residential tenants and anyone who works with them. You can find the pamphlet on the Ministry's website at:
