OMVIC Offers Free Car-Buying Seminars

Beginning in June, 2010, the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council will be offering free seminars in Toronto and other Ontario cities to educate consumers about buying a used car. As highlighted on the OMVIC's website at

Free Education Seminars

Do you know the difference between a registered dealer and a curbsider? If not, you could be at risk when you purchase a vehicle. Starting this June, OMVIC will host a series of free education seminars to help you know the right way to buy.

Learn What You Need to Know About:

* The difference between registered dealers and private sellers
* What dealers must disclose about a vehicle
* Legislation and consumer protection measures
* How to research a vehicle's history
* What to do if you have a problem with a purchase

Available in Multiple Languages Across the GTA

Seminars will be presented in multiple languages
across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and select Ontario markets."
