New OEB Consumer Service Rules

The Ontario Energy Board has made changes to some of the OEB Codes that utilities must follow with respect to customer service. These changes build on existing Codes and create province-wide standards for utilities. New rules relating to equal monthly payment plans, correction of overbilling, and opening/closing accounts have been introduced, effective April 1, 2011. To read the new rules, please visit
